CPR Plus is an organization with deep technical expertise and credentialing, having been certified as a Training Center for the American Heart Association (AHA) since 2002. This credential, as well as the additional certification/licensure of our various instructors allows us to provide on-location training in the following areas: CPR, AED, First Aid, and disaster preparedness training (CERT). CPR Plus utilizes the expertise of instructors who are all very familiar with the EMS sector, with many currently working as Firefighters, EMTs, Paramedics, Nurses, or other medical professionals.
CPR Plus has received numerous “Certificates of Appreciation” from the City of Los Angeles:
• January 2003 in “Recognition of Outstanding Citizenship and Activities Enhancing Community Betterment”
• February 2006 for “Outstanding Contributions to the City of Los Angeles Public Access Defibrillation Program”
• May 2007 for “Outstanding Contributions to the City of Los Angeles Public Access Defibrillation Program”
CPR Plus is well versed in the safety and preparedness needs, expectations, and methodologies of a broad array of organizations, both private as well as government. The Company has served many corporate customers, some of which include Conejo Valley School District, Los Angeles Firemen’s Credit Union, and Providence Health System (a complete list of customers can be provided upon request).
In 2001 the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Office authorized establishment of a PAD Program (Public Access Defibrillation) in all city facilities and CPR Plus was chosen to guide the implementation of this initiative. CPR Plus supplied all the technical guidance to accomplish program planning, equipment procurement, physician oversight, city employee training, documentation, as well as a train-the-trainer program. To ensure continued viability of the PAD program, CPR Plus currently maintains oversight of in-house instructors including, maintenance of teaching records, training bulletins and updates, refresher training, any necessary remediation, and a recertification database.
CPR Plus was awarded the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power’s (DWP) 2002-2005 Contract for CPR/AED/First Aid instruction. CPR Plus also provided evaluation and procurement of disaster preparedness supplies per FEMA guidelines; consultation with the DWP Office of Emergency Services regarding DWP facilities’ disaster preparedness readiness as well as First Responders’ disaster preparedness skill levels and identification of operational improvements.
